Bottom line
Part A is the TRACES-generated summary of salary paid and TDS deposited; Part B is the detailed computation of taxable salary and tax.Part A of Form 16 is generated and authenticated from TRACES and shows the employer/employee details, period of employment, and a quarterly summary of salary paid and TDS deducted and deposited.
Part B is an annexure prepared by the employer giving the detailed break-up of salary, exemptions, deductions, and the final tax computation under the applicable regime. Together they form the salary TDS certificate (now referenced as Form 130).
